Unit testing with C training focuses on equipping participants with the skills to write and execute unit tests for C applications using testing frameworks like CUnit or Unity. The course covers the fundamentals of setting up testing environments, writing test cases, and validating functionality through assertions. Participants learn how to isolate individual components of their C code and test them independently, ensuring correctness at the unit level. Hands-on exercises focus on identifying edge cases, debugging failing tests, and using mocking techniques to simulate dependencies. By the end of the training, attendees gain the expertise to implement effective unit testing strategies in C, improving software quality and maintainability.

Basic knowledge of the C programming language.
Familiarity with general programming concepts such as variables, control structures, functions, and data types.
No prior experience with unit testing required.

Upon completion of this course, participants will:

Understand the principles and benefits of unit testing in C.
Learn how to use testing frameworks like CUnit and Unity to perform unit testing.
Gain hands-on experience in writing and running unit tests for C functions.
Understand how to apply the concepts of test-driven development (TDD) with C.
Be able to create test cases, mock data, and analyze the results of unit tests to ensure code reliability.

Unit Testing with C: Ability to write and execute unit tests for C programs using testing frameworks.
Test Case Creation: Skill in writing meaningful test cases to verify functionality and detect errors.
Mocking and Stubbing: Understanding of how to simulate external dependencies in unit tests to isolate code logic.
Test-Driven Development (TDD) with C: Ability to apply test-first principles to C programming.
Debugging with Unit Tests: Capability to use unit tests to identify bugs and enhance code quality.

Participants will be assessed on:

Unit Test Creation: Ability to write comprehensive unit tests for C functions and code modules.
Test Framework Usage: Proficiency in using frameworks like CUnit or Unity for testing C code.
Mocking and Stubbing: Ability to apply mocking techniques to simulate dependencies during unit testing.
Test Analysis: Skills in analyzing unit test results and debugging code to fix failing tests.
TDD Implementation: Understanding of the test-first approach and its application in C programming.

Certificate of Completion: Participants who attend all sessions and successfully complete the course assessments will receive a ProgNXT Certificate of Completion for Unit Testing with C Training.
